When to call the Pediatrician
Most baby digestion issues are messy, noisy, and totally normal. But sometimes, your gut (yep, yours) picks up on something that’s not quite right—and that’s when it’s time to bring in your pediatric partner.
Here are signs that deserve a closer look:
🚨 Call Your Pediatrician If You Notice:
Blood or mucus in stool (can indicate allergy or irritation)
Persistent vomiting, especially if it’s projectile or green/yellow
Poor weight gain, refusal to eat, or seeming hungry but unable to feed
Lethargy or fewer wet diapers (possible signs of dehydration)
Hard, pellet-like stools or signs of severe constipation
Arching the back, grimacing, or screaming during/after feeds
👩⚕️ When in Doubt? Just Ask
Pediatricians are used to fielding questions about poop, gas, and spit-up—it’s 90% of what they hear in the first few months! If something feels “off” to you, it’s always better to check in than to wait and worry.

💬 Trust tip: You don’t need a spreadsheet of symptoms to justify a phone call. “Something doesn’t feel right” is reason enough.
